Sarah and Jonathan have known of each other for many years, they both attended Hamilton Central Baptist as teenagers and went through youth group together. However, their love story didn’t start then. Post youth days they both went off on their own paths, one day to be reconnected when the time was just right. Jonathan popped back around in 2021 and hasn’t left since. He connected back in to HCBC and the people there, one of them coincidently was Sarah.
Starting off as acquaintances within a wider friend group, the friendship between the two of them grew as the friend group became closer. Many beach trips, camping adventures and meals out with friends brought the two of them closer and closer. Sarah and Jonathan found themselves talking more and more. The first sign Jonathan was into Sarah more than just as friends, was when he showed up at her house with the Lego flower set she had been hunting high and low for. Things seemed to just click between them.
Many a walk, games of deal, meals together and Lego hunting adventures, Jonathan and Sarah were going strong. Jonathan soon asked Sarah’s parents for their blessing, and on September 23rd, at the Bowentown lookout Jonathan dropped to his knee to ask Sarah to marry him. There is so much more to their story but let’s keep it to the most important bits. It’s been such a whirlwind of fun and laughter doing life together. Jonathan and Sarah are so eager to enter this new chapter and see how their story unfolds.

If they are named on your invitation, yes! We love the joy little ones bring to celebrations.
We will have a kids menu available for them and wee fun activities. However if you would prefer to organise a babysitter for them and enjoy an evening child free we totally support that too!
We love photos and are so excited to see all the parts of the day our guests capture. All we ask is that there are no photos taken during the ceremony time. We have a wonderful photographer Ruth with us to capture the day, and we would much prefer that you to enjoy
the moment with us. Photos post ceremony and reception are a big yes!
We would love to see photos or you and your friends all dressed up from our wedding! We however ask that you refrain from posting photos of the bride or groom until after we have shared a photo ourselves.
